At the Character Recognition Awards Evening being held on May 23, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Roy Edwards Room, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB), through the Character Education Development Project Team, recognizes students, staff, and volunteers who demonstrate good character in their daily lives. This evening of recognition links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities (2022-2027) in the areas of Well-being, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Community, and Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Each year nominations from schools are received, highlighting the good character of our students, staff, and volunteers. From this group, randomly selected nominees are invited to the Education Centre in a celebration of those who exemplify the SCDSB character attributes.
The nomination process begins on Jan. 24, 2024 and ends on Feb. 23, 2024. Recommendations must be made by emailing the Character Recognition Nomination Form (FORM 1) to [email protected].
